Elanne Kong wants to focus on music this year
5 Apr - After spending so much time working in mainland China for the past couple of years, Elanne Kong revealed that she will be focusing her career in Hong Kong this year.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who was seen at a stage performance show recently, shared that she will put a temporary halt on her acting career to put more priority on her music.
When asked if she has earned enough money to pay for her legal fees in her court case against former agency, Universal International, Elanne said, "Absolutely not. Last night my mum reminded me that I still have a lot of fees to pay. She's a bit contradictory, really. On one hand, she is worried about me turning down projects. On the other, she wants to see more of me."
She also admitted to have lost a seven-digit sum from turning down two new movies when she decided to focus on her music.
However, Elanne has no regrets, saying, "This year marks my tenth year anniversary in music. I want to return to my starting point as a singer, so sacrifices had to be made."
The actress also added that she hopes to hold a concert some time this year.
