Elaine Yiu admits changing views about love
1 Aug – Elaine Yiu recently admitted that her understanding of love has changed a lot now that she is in her late 30s.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who sat down for an interview recently, revealed that she used to romanticise life a lot when she was younger.
"I was more willful when I was younger. I want a boyfriend who will always be with me. But now that I am older, I think the most important thing is to have mutual trust between each other and your own space," she said.
She added it is also important to have a balance when it comes to one's career, feelings, family, and social life.
However, Elaine stressed that there is only one thing that doesn't change when it comes to her view on life and love - and that is a woman needs to have her own career.
"Therefore, I will continue to work after marriage, and not just be a housewife," she added.
Speaking about her role in the new drama, "Succession War", Elaine said that it is similar to her role as Cheung Mei, the second wife to Ruco Chan's lead character, Qing official Niohuru Heshen who tolerates her husband's extramarital affair.
"I am the same in a sense that I will not hesitate to do everything for the person that I love, but I will not accept a third party in our relationship," she said.
