Elaine Ng says relationship with daughter is much better
27 Sep – Hong Kong actress Elaine Ng recently stated that her relationship with daughter Etta is progressing more and more each day despite their previous conflict.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who celebrated her 47th birthday on 23 September, was asked if she had received a birthday blessing from Etta, to which she responded, "No need to talk about it. You can send blessings every day. We had a meal together earlier, but not a birthday celebration. There is no need for that."
Elaine said that she and Etta have now learned what can be said and what should be avoided, and that it helped them communicate with one another.
"We used to communicate like a parent and child. But it's more of a friendship now, and it's a lot more comfortable," she said.
Asked if she would be celebrating her birthday with friends, Elaine stated that she has stopped celebrating her birthday since she was 18.
On the other hand, when asked about her love life, Elaine said that she will not deliberately seek for a companion, though at the same time will not resist it.
"Let it come naturally," she said.
Asked if Etta has asked her to find herself a partner, she said, "No, we don't talk about these things."
