Edison Chen says Shupei and Alaia make him happy
5 Sep - Singer-actor Edison Chen was all smiles when asked about partner Qin Shupei and daughter Alaia during a press conference to announce his new album.
As reported on Tencent, the singer, who is launching his new album after two years, "this little monkey: Chapter 3", shared that life is much more colourful since the birth of his daughter.
"Every day is a happy day with Alaia. Even when things aren't great, you will just naturally laugh when you see her. The rest of the world [doesn't matter]. I hope that I could be a good father to my kid," he said.
When asked if he and his model girlfriend have plans to get married anytime soon, Edison stated that they don't know when it will happen.
"All I can say is that I am always happy with Alaia and Shupei. Marriage is just a piece of paper. The most important thing is the feelings we have for each other," he said.
Edison also joked that if he is to get married, he will call whichever news agency that will pay him the most money to cover the wedding.
The singer also thanked the media for attending the event, saying that he is not always the hostile man they made him out to be.
"It's a simple thing. If you respect me, then I will respect you. I am not that bad," he added.
