Eason Chan wins his 13th Best Male Singer award
10 Jan – Hong Kong singer Eason Chan was recently named Best National Male Singer again at the 40th anniversary concert of the Top Ten Chinese Gold Song awards, making it his 13th consecutive win.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who performed at the concert, shared that despite having toured and won awards around the world, Hong Kong remains the best place for him to be.
"Coming back home is always the best. Thank you for the many years of support. I heard that other Chinese singers like Jane Zhang and Mayday also won. Hopefully they can come join us here next year and have fun together," he said.
On the other hand, Joey Yung, who didn't release a new album in 2017, still won the Excellent Popular Singer award at the same event.
However, the singer, who is currently on a holiday, did not attend the star-studded event, and instead expressed her gratitude through a short video.
