Easier access to K-pop merchandise as YG E-SHOP launches on Qoo10 Singapore
Fans of YG Entertainment artistes in Singapore and Indonesia can now get their beloved idols’ merchandise faster and more easily than on their official online shop, YG E-SHOP.
On Wednesday (24 May), YG E-SHOP announced on their Facebook page that a mini-shop has officially launched on online marketplace Qoo10, along with a launch promotion that will run from 24 to 31 May.
The YG E-SHOP sells official merchandise of artistes such as BIGBANG, PSY, Epik High, WINNER, iKON, Blackpink, Lee Jong-suk and Nam Joo-hyuk.
According to the Facebook post, the Qoo10 YG E-SHOP will only be selling merchandise on a pre-order basis for this promotional period, and all pre-ordered products will be shipped starting from 1 June. Stocks for the shop are available in Singapore, a Qoo10 spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore.
Those who are attending G-Dragon’s upcoming concert in Singapore on 24 and 25 June can get official BIGBANG concert gear way before the concert, from the iconic crown light sticks and hair accessories to scarf belts, shirts and caps.
Purchasing merchandise directly from South Korean online sites is often a tedious affair because of several reasons, including a law that requires desktop users to use Microsoft’s outdated Internet Explorer browser for online shopping and banking.
In addition to official artistes’ merchandise, albums will also be sold in the store, including the latest album from rapper PSY (“4X2=8”), who is known widely around the world for his 2012 hit, “Gangnam Style”.
