The nation is gearing up for the coronation of King Charles III on 6 May – and craft queen Sara Davies has the perfect make to get your home ready.

The Dragons' Den star took to her Instagram to share how to make a pompom wreath, perfect to decorate your front door ahead of the long weekend of celebrations.

She made the wreath using red, white and blue yarn and a pompom maker.

Alongside the video, Sara wrote: "Hands up who is doing some crafting for the coronation!?! Well if you want to but don’t know where to start then Pom-Pom’s are totally the answer! Had a go at making this wreath today and I LOVE it!"

In the video, she wraps each colour of yarn around the two sides of the pompom maker and sandwiches them together.

She then snips around the edge of the wrapped yarn to create tufts. Sara wraps a piece of yarn around the centre of the pompom maker to tie a knot in the centre. She removes the pompom maker and is left with a cute pompom!

She make a series of pompoms in red, white, blue and multi-coloured yarn and ties them around a metal wreath ring. The coronation wreath is then ready to hang in pride of place on the front door — happy crafting!
