Dominic Lam shares reason for TVB comeback

4 May - Five years since his last TVB drama, actor Dominic Lam recently returned to the company to join Nancy Sit and Elaine Yiu in the upcoming drama, "Brilliant Mother-in-Law" (working title).

As reported on HK01, the actor, who left TVB in 2013 to join Ricky Wong's HKTV, revealed that while he didn't plan on returning to TVB, he was moved by the sincerity shown by producer Au Yiu Hing.

And although he has now signed with TVB again, Dominic said that he will not be filming a lot of dramas like other TVB actors, and will only take projects that he thinks are good for him.

As to criticisms that the quality of TVB dramas has deteriorated, the actor shared that he will only focus on giving his best performance.

Dominic also shared that he is happy to be working in a lighthearted drama this time around, after working in serious HKTV dramas like "Night Shift", "The Borderline", and "Paranormal Mind".

"It's very rare for me," said the actor.
