Dilraba Dilmurat's camp denies rumours of illegitimate child

25 Oct - Dilraba Dilmurat's camp has recently denied reports saying that the actress is the celebrity named in a blind item about a couple having a child out of wedlock.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the whole issue sparked after a Chinese internet celebrity called Guo Meimei did a live session on Weibo, saying, "We have two big stars in our country. The woman is from Xinjiang and the man is from Northeast China. They are both actors. I won't say their names, but they haven't obtained a marriage certificate and yet they already have a child. This is known in the Beijing entertainment industry, and I'm shocked. This is reliable news."

Though she named no names, many speculated the "Xinjiang woman" to be Dilraba and the "Northeastern China man" to be Johnny Huang.

It is noted that Dilraba and Johnny were rumoured to be dating after working together in 2019. Shortly after, the actress went MIA from the limelight for a while, sparking rumours that she was pregnant.

In response to the allegations, Dilraba's agency immediately took to social media, saying, "This rumour has nothing to do with Dilraba."

They also stressed that legal proceedings have been initiated to hold the rumourmongers accountable.

Meanwhile, Guo has also clarified her position, saying that she never mentioned Dilraba or Johnny's name.
