Dicky Cheung elated to win "Shine! Super Brothers"
8 Feb – It was a huge victory for Dicky Cheung, having won the second season of the reality show, "Shine! Super Brothers".
The singer, who was announced the overall champion at the finals on 5 February, recently took to social media to express his thoughts about the whole competition, saying, "Since participating in "Shine! Super Brothers 2", my life has been completely dedicated to this stage in the past three months. I can say that I have no regrets and have done my best."
"Through this stage, I tried to know myself and have people know who I am as a singer instead of just an actor. The past three months have been very fulfilling and not easy."
He also apologised to wife Zhang Qian, saying that the past few months' topic of conversation and focus had been about the show that sometimes he neglected to be an attentive husband to her. Dicky did, however, performed two songs at the final that were dedicated to his wife, "When I Fall in Love" and "The Moon Represents My Heart", which he sang for her at their wedding.
Thanking all the members of his team, and the show overall, Dicky said that winning the said programme was also a big deal as it is the first time he has won something.
"I have never won any awards for acting or singing over the years, and I cherish this award very much," he added.
