Diana Danielle didn't mean to open old wound with abuse comment

22 Dec – Diana Danielle recently stated that she didn't mean to reopen an old wound when she made a comment about her past abusive relationship in a recent podcast.

The actress, who previously spoke to fellow actress Amelia Henderson on the latter's podcast, Studio Sembang, told the media that she was only sharing a story about her life when she spoke about the abuse.

"I had spoken about what happened to me more than ten years ago, but maybe the new generation of fans didn't know about it," she said. "I talked a lot about mental health and about moving on. I spoke for an hour. I didn't expect that that part would attract the most attention."

Diana stated that she felt a bit guilty about sharing that part now that it went viral, stating that she wasn't trying to attack anybody.

However, the actress stated that she received a lot of personal messages from the public following the release of the episode, with many thanking her for giving them strength through the many things she shared throughout the podcast.

In the said episode, Diana made a passing comment about being in an abusive relationship prior to meeting now husband Farid Kamil, saying that she immediately left the relationship after being hit by her ex-boyfriend.

"If anybody touches you, get the f*** out," the actress stated.
