Datin Alyah withdraws from "The Hardest Singing Show"

21 May - Datin Alyah will no longer be competing on Astro's "The Hardest Singing Show" to focus on her Hajj.

The singer shared the news after withdrawing herself from the show in the second episode, saying that she will be flying off to do her pilgrimage on 12 June.

"I hope that my fans will pray for me so that I will get a Hajj that is full of obedience. I would also like to apologise to the show's team and everybody involved," she said.

Alyah, who is married to music maestro Dato' Ramli MS, also expressed her support for the rest of the contestants.

The show, which is hosted by comedian Nabil Ahmad and Indonesian entertainer Rina Nose, is a competitive singing competition that relies on showmanship as the main criteria for judging.

Among other contestants include the pop trio De Fam, rapper Zizie Kirana, rocker Aepul Roza and dance queen Stacy.
