Crystal Fung upgraded to first female lead in new drama?
2 Jan – Crystal Fung's status as a TVB newbie seemed to have been upgraded, as she will be playing a female lead in new drama, "Yakuza Weirdo".
As reported on HK01, the actress, whose name was listed first on the billing sheet, will be playing the role of Rachel - a female cop who becomes a handler for Vincent Wong's actor-turned-triad boss character.
"She is an heiress, but becomes a cop because of her great sense of justice. She is not satisfied with her desk job, and wants to become a Senior Police Inspector in the OCTB and solve big cases," said Crystal.
She also revealed that Rachel will have a romantic subplot with Vincent's character.
When mentioned that she is billed as the lead actress, Crystal, who recently won Most Improved Actress at the TVB Anniversary Awards responded humbly, "Even if I am, I should be one of seven lead actresses. There are seven female characters on the show and they will all end up falling in love with Vincent's character."
