Crystal Fung feels responsible for Luk Ho Ming's SARS blunder
19 Feb – Following Luk Ho Ming's apology, Crystal Fung has also expressed her regret over her co-host's blunder on their talk show, "Young and Restless".
Crystal, who spoke to Mingpao about Luk's mistake in stating that SARS originated from Hong Kong, stated that she knew what Luk was trying to say at the time and that the actor's slip of the tongue had caused misinformation.
"We immediately addressed this, added more information and continued the discussion. But it might have confused some audience and stirred up one's emotions," she said.
Crystal stated that the mistake was not only Luk's own, but that they were all to blame for it.
"We are deeply sorry and we sincerely apologise to everybody. We promise to do sufficient data collection in the future to make the content of the programme is more reliable and clear, and will try to avoid any negligence and misunderstanding," she added.
