Of course Kate Moss celebrated her 50th in a see-through black lace dress
Yesterday, the fashion world came together to celebrate the icon that is Kate Moss on the occasion of her 50th birthday. She's the OG British cool girl, supermodel extraordinaire, forever style inspiration, founder of luxury wellbeing brand COSMOSS, and, ofc, the genius behind the biggest fashion collab of the Noughties – Kate Moss x Topshop, that we're still *seriously* obsessed with today.
But beyond enjoying seeing all the epic throwback pics shared on Insta by Kate's coterie of famous BFFs, here on the Cosmo fashion desk we spent yesterday eagerly awaiting the unveiling of one thing above all: Kate Moss' chosen outfit for her party. Well, her 30th and 40th birthday 'fits have gone down in fashion history, so we knew she'd pull out all the stops to mark her half-century. And as ever, Mossy didn't disappoint.
Heading to the Laurent Restaurant in Paris for a birthday dinner with fellow London cool girls including Charlotte Tilbury, Rosemary Ferguson and Stella McCartney, Kate stepped out in one of the most "her" looks ever...
The iconic model looked more fabulous than ever in a completely see-through black lace maxi dress, that she wore with a sheer bodysuit underneath, as well as sparkly heels, two *mega* diamond bracelets and a silk cape to shield from the Paris chill. Only Mossy would rock the naked dressing trend on her 50th, and we love her all the more for it. Plus, we love that it's the perfect mix of high glamour and her signature bohemian, vintage style.
Her daughter Lila Moss was also in attendance, and wearing a co-ordinating look to boot. The 21-year-old model was the spitting image of her mother in a lingerie-inspired black lacy mini-dress, topped with an oversized coat and slingback heels. Très chic!
