Could Steven Soderbergh be making a return to cinema?

US director Steven Soderbergh

Steven Soderbergh is rumored to be coming out of retirement and heading back to the big screen to work on a new movie starring Channing Tatum.

The Oscar-winning director is set to helm a new feature film titled "Lucky Logan", Variety reports.

If true, it would not be the first time that Soderbergh has worked with Tatum, following collaborations on "Haywire," "Magic Mike" and "Side Effects."

Soderbergh, whose last feature film "Side Effects" was released in 2013, has moved into TV of late, directing the Emmy-winning HBO production "Behind the Candelabra."
