Costco continues to run the tiny home craze with their easy-to-customize sheds. The warehouse has so many options for pre-installed, surprisingly stylish sheds that can easily turn into in-law suites, right in your own backyard. We've spotted everything from the Solitude Shed we'd use as a solo escape, to the Titan Shed with sprawling space for bigger families. Our latest find is the cutest one yet: the "Pinnacle Shed," with unique features that make it feel a bit more residential.

If you want to avoid having a run-down shed as an eyesore on your property, the Pinnacle's frame is the right place to start. Costco's Pinnacle Shed comes from the Gorilla Sheds line, also home to the viral Goliath two-story barn. It's sturdy enough to stand up to 115 mph winds, comes with its own flooring, and the roof is weatherproof. You could always just use it as extra storage, but between the split-roof design, clerestory windows, it's primed to be a backyard getaway. Three extra operable windows will keep it well-ventilated, so it feels more like a relaxing room and less like a stuffy shed.
Think carefully about the way you paint this shed. With the right color, it could actually be an ultra-trendy addition to your house. The example on Costco's site has an earthy green tone, this is one of the most popular front door colors of 2025, according to designers. But any paint choice can add to your home's aesthetic, emphasizing a natural flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

If you ask us, and several real estate experts, accessory dwelling units (ADUs) will be sticking around for a while. They can add up to 34 percent in your home's value, so if you want to invest in its sellability, an ADU is a smart call. It also helps with aging in place. If you know your in-laws or relatives will want their own space or might move in with you, save yourself the future renovation headache.
