We love Costco for its bakery finds, bulk essentials, and of course, its signature food court. But did you know there’s more to Costco than just its food? Costco is continuously offering unexpected treasures—like "Goliath" barn sheds—and its latest release is something garden enthusiasts—and even casual plant lovers—won’t want to miss.
According to Laura Jayne Lamb of CostcoHotfinds, Costco is now selling vegetable and fruit plants for $10.99. And look, I’m not a green thumb whatsoever, but mini-plants that allow you to grow fresh fruit and veggies right in your backyard (or balcony, if you live in an apartment like me)? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
“There was a three-pack of vegetable plants and they all looked super healthy and vibrant,” Lamb said in the video. “I spotted cucumber, both green and red peppers, and tomatoes, just to name a few.”
Naturally, Costco shoppers quickly flooded Lamb’s comment section, expressing excitement about these neat finds. “I’m so excited to plant my garden again!!” one commenter wrote. “Got a 4-pack of herbs for cheap! Can't wait to put them in the garden 😊,” another shared.
Unfortunately, to many shoppers’ dismay, these plants aren’t available at stores nationwide—only at a few select locations. But (!!), you can find the three-pack of fruit plants online. The retailer is also offering bush berries for $44.99, which come in either blueberries or blackberries. Blueberries will sprout from May through July, and blackberries will appear from June to August.
The bush berries are the perfect addition for anyone looking to grow their own fruit without taking up too much space. And with little inconvenience, too. These plants require only regular watering and light sun. Place them in a shady area, water them daily, and soon you’ll have fresh fruit ready to enjoy!
For those ready to get started (raises hand), don’t wait too long—these garden finds will go quickly, especially with all the excitement buzzing online. Head to Costco’s website to grab your own set, or keep an eye out for in-store availability at your nearest location. Who knew the way to a greener, more sustainable lifestyle could start at Costco?
