Colleen Lau signs a new band to her label
25 Jun – After changing her career from singer to manager, Colleen Lau recently introduced her new talent to the media - a band of buskers known as WKEND.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who appeared at the premiere of the Hollywood movie, "The High Note" recently, shared that she is happy to finally return to the music scene as a talent manager again.
She revealed that she has already signed WKEND to her label, and will be managing the band from now on.
"I met WKEND through some musicians two to three years ago. I appreciate their enthusiasm for music. I heard them perform in the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui and felt that they were bringing something new to the audience," she said.
Colleen also revealed that she plans to make new songs for them, and ensures that she will not waste their talents.
The singer stated that this is not the first time that she has signed an artiste to be a part of her label, but that it is still the first for her to sign a band.
