Coco Martin announces end of "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano"

25 Jul – After running for seven years, it was revealed that "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" will be coming to an end.

The news was shared by lead actor Coco Martin in a recent video, in which he confirmed that the drama is ending and added, "Although it is sad to be going our separate ways, we are truly grateful. The world has changed, but you are still here."

"Even if the series will end, our love for you will not," he expressed.

The series, which is based on the 1997 Fernando Poe Jr-starrer of the same name, made its TV debut in September 2015, with Coco playing the role of Cardo Dalisay, a member of the Criminal Investigation Detection Group who seeks justice for his late twin and policeman Ador who was betrayed by a colleague.

The show will end in three weeks' time, with a grand finale, titled "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Ang Pambandang Pagtatapos".

The slot will be replaced by "Mars Ravelo's Darna: The TV Series", starring Jane de Leon, which will be released mid next month.
