Claudine Barretto remembers Rico Yan on his 18th year of passing
1 Apr – Forever loyal to late boyfriend Rico Yan, Claudine Barretto recently took to social media to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the actor's death.
The actress posted a series of throwback photos of her and Yan in video form to reminisce the good old days.
She wrote, "18 years, [29 March 2002], the day that my soul [and] heart broke into pieces, the Most Painful pain one can only go through."
"Thank you [Rico Yan] for allowing our fans to still [love and remember you] in our hearts forever," she added.
Back on 14 March, the actress shared a photo of the two of them on social media on the actor's birthday, writing, "Happy Birthday in Heaven RY. Know that you are still loved & remembered."
Barretto and Yan were in a relationship after working together in many projects including "Mula Sa Puso" and "Saan Ka Man Naroroon".
On 29 March 2002, the young matinee idol was found dead in his hotel room in Palawan. He was later found to have experienced an acute haemorrhagic pancreatitis and died in his sleep.
He was 27.
