Ciara dressed up her baby bump as a glittery gold Christmas bauble
The celebrity pregnancy reveal has become something of an art form in recent years. Gone are the days of hiding a growing bump under tent-like dresses and baggy tops – nowadays, it's placed rightfully front and centre of any stylish A-Lister's maternity wardrobe.
Who could forget *that* black, see-through lacy underwear moment from Rihanna, for example? Or when she announced her second pregnancy at the Super Bowl by way of an iconic all-red, bump-baring outfit? And more recently, we've also seen the likes of Suki Waterhouse and Sienna Miller keep totally schtum regarding their new pregnancies, only to then confirm the news in the most fashionable way possible on the red carpet.
It's a trend we're absolutely loving, tbh. And the latest celeb to jump aboard the out-and-proud bump train is none other than Ciara. The singer and star of upcoming film The Colour Purple is expecting her four child – and she went BIG (quite literally) for the premiere.
Yep, icon that she is, Ciara hit the red carpet in an all-white outfit that was unbuttoned to stylishly reveal her blossoming bump – and as if that wasn't enough, she covered it with gold glitter too. Now that's what we call festive maternity dressing done right!
The star looked *so* chic – and much like a Christmas angel, we think – in an ensemble by Georges Hobeika featuring crisp white tailored trousers, a buttoned-down silk shirt and a matching, flowing cape to bring that extra little bit of drama. And the gold foil on her bare bump was a pure touch of genius, reminiscent of a Christmas tree bauble.
As one of her fans so aptly put it in the comments, it's giving "the goose that laid the golden egg" – and we couldn't agree more. New level of maternity dressing, unlocked.
