Christie Brinkley had one thing in mind when creating her new line with HSN: the classics.

"I really wanted to help women build their timeless collection," she tells PEOPLE exclusively of her brand new collection, TWRHLL, available now on HSN.

Named for her Hamptons home, Tower Hill, the collection embodies all things easy and breezy, because Brinkley wanted to bring comfort to every closet.

"These are clothes that'll be fun to wear because they're not going to tug at you," Brinkley, 70, says of her designs, which span dresses, pants, tops and more. "They're not going to pull at you. You're going to feel comfortable, and I feel like when you're comfortable in your clothes, everything goes better. A good clothes day is like a good hair day."

Brinkley's idea for her collection began back on one of her family vacations to Turks and Caicos. She says that among all these trips, she and her daughters, Sailor Brinkley Cook, 25, Alexa Ray Joel, 38, would find themselves in the headlines for their vacation-wear.

"It would end up in a photo online with a picture of a model in the same look saying, 'Buy this, here's this piece. Look like Christie, look like Sailor, look like Alexa.' And I thought, you know what? That should be our own line," she says.

From there, her collection was born. She drew inspiration from her home on Long Island, which she says was built in 1891 and full of character, as well as the lifestyle in the Hamptons.

"[My home is] filled to the brim with souvenirs from things I've dragged home from all over the world, all dented by my son when he was old enough to be riding the skateboard through the house," Brinkley adds with a laugh about her son, Jack Brinkley Cook, who is now 28.

Brinkley describes the Hamptons lifestyle — and thus TWRHLL's designs — as "clean, tailored, comfortable and never dated."

The line's initial launch includes a shirtdress that comes in a variety of patterns — that can also be worn open as a duster — blouses, casual pants, tank tops, sailor jeans, a denim jacket, a striped blazer (one of Brinkley's faves) and a straw hat that the model has been wearing on repeat in her garden.

Sizes range from XS to 3X and nothing is priced over $100.

This is only the beginning, though. Brinkley has plenty more planned to launch with HSN, and it taps into her many moods, she says.

"I always say I'm part sailor and part cowgirl, and upcoming collections reflect a little bit more of my love of the Wild West as well," she promises.

"I have clothes for every mood," she says of her own style. "And I think that our line kind of gives you clothes for different moods as well. We have our poet's shirts and it feels sort of poet-y and art-y. We have our jackets, our navy jacket with a little trim that is more for taking a meeting, but it also looks cute over white shorts. That's the thing about it — all the pieces can dress up, dress down, mix and match, layer or be worn as is. They're very versatile."

The pieces are so versatile that Brinkley's daughters are even getting in on the collection. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model reveals that when she was getting ready to film for Today on May 28, she showed Joel one of her dress options and her eldest child was surprised to find how much she liked the piece she'd designed.

"Alexa looked up and she said, 'Oh, I love that dress. Where's that from?' And I said, 'TWRHILL.' And she said, 'Oh mom, I'm going to have to come look through those racks more closely. I need that dress. Does it come in my size?' And I said, 'Yes, it does. We have it from XS and up to 3X.' So we hope that everybody can find their size and we hope that people of all ages will love it and find something for every mood!" Brinkley gushes.

Brinkley officially launched the collection on HSN at midnight on May 30, which she admits is past her bedtime, but she was excited to get on TV to show off what she'd created.

"I think I'll be sleeping in my hair and makeup in a chair in the studio so that I'm ready for the next session," she jokes of her plan to keep rallying throughout the day. "I'm picturing myself like Lucille Ball in the Vitameatavegamin episode of I Love Lucy!"

She may be a little tired while on air during the night, but she's a pro at what she does — and she knows it.

"I figure after over 50 years in this industry, talking about clothes will be like, I could do it in my sleep because I may be sleepwalking."

Brinkley's TWRHLL collection is available on HSN now.
