"My goal is to help people feel confident," Angela Rose told HB for our Ultimate Shopping Guide. It's why the mother of three and DIY design star created her fresh new line of rugs and pillows, Angela Rose x Loloi, in serene colorways and patterns named after her kids: Aubrey, Blake, and Colton. "These vintage-inspired pieces feel special and unique, yet they're so versatile and work in any space," she adds. "It takes out the guesswork. You could design an entire room around the right rug."

A rug is the understated but highly functional centerpiece of any space, and it's essential to prioritize details like size and material depending on where you're going to put one. For instance, Rose confirms a bigger rug is better in the living roo—otherwise the piece can be swallowed up and feel awkward underneath a sofa or other furniture. When it comes to high-traffic areas like the kitchen, entryway, or mudroom, jute or a no-pile rug is easy to maintain making either choice the ideal option.

If you think you'll have to go all out to buy one of Rose's rugs, guess again. Her entire line is up to 50% off now! She made it her mission to have accessible price points right from the start. "We all want an elevated space and sometimes people get discouraged because they think they can't afford it," she shares. "I'm here to bridge the gap and help everyone see you don't need a huge budget to get that dream home."

So don't wait, take advantage of her tips and discounts below! We have a feeling these statement-making must-haves will sell out. Plus, Rose designed pillows for the line to complement her rugs. "If you get a rug with many prints, choose simpler pillows and vice versa," Rose reveals. "It's like a seesaw—play with balance."

Angela's Tips for Choosing Rugs for Any Room

"Go with a large rug and put the front legs of your furniture on it to anchor the room," according to Rose. The last thing you want is for a rug to feel like an afterthought. Allow it to define the space and don't be afraid to go big because something grand in size actually has the power to make your living room feel larger.

A no-fuss purchase that's easy to clean is definitely what should be in your kitchen. "No-pile rugs are flat and durable—they won't accumulate crumbs," Rose explains. While a pile-free pick may not be as cozy as something thicker, at least you won't have to worry about your family cooking or washing dishes around it.

The opposite goes for the bedroom. Snag a rug you can basically fall asleep on and Rose recommends you push it all the way up to the nightstand. This way, everything will feel plush from the moment you wake up to the end of your day. "When you walk in, you should feel comfortable," she tells us. "A little pile will make it soft and cozy."

If you have kids, pets, or a big family, you can never go wrong with jute. It's stylish and can stand up to any mess that comes its way. "Jute rugs are easy to clean," Rose continues. "You can shake out the debris."
