Chen Kun angered by romance rumour
14 Apr – Chinese actor Chen Kun was recently furious with tabloids spreading rumours about him and good friend, actress Zhou Xun.
As reported on Jayne Stars website earlier this week, Zhou Xun, who was in Hong Kong, was snapped shopping in the Central district with a tall, mysterious man, who was speculated to be her new romantic interest.
Both of them were accompanied by actor Chen Kun, sparking rumours of a blooming relationship and that the actor is playing a matchmaker.
However, when asked about it shortly after, the "Painted Skin" actor snapped, saying, "Even if Zhou Xun and I go shopping, what's the problem? I regret picking up your call," uttered a word of profanity, and hung up.
Chen Kun then explained on his Weibo, saying, "Zhou Xun and I stayed at the same building. It is not unusual for us to go out together."
He further explained his use of profanity was due to the highlight of the news report that he saw about their recent outing.
Meanwhile, Chen Kun's representative, Miss Xu clarified that the mysterious man that was with them is actually the actor's brother, Sam, who works as his assistant.
She also expressed her disappointment that the media twisted facts about them, saying, "After yesterday's clarification on Weibo, today's newspaper showed a different version. This really proves the angles of news reports are always changing. The only nice thing in the entire article are the words, 'hunky guy'!"
