Charlie Young marries Singaporean boyfriend

4 Nov – 19 years into their relationship, actress-turned-director Charlie Young finally tied the knot with her 43-year-old lawyer beau, Khoo Shao Tze, in Singapore.

As reported on HK Channel website, on 2 November, the 39-year-old actress said "I do" in a ceremony held at the W Singapore in Sentosa Cove, Sentosa Island. Dressed in a Romona Keveza fishtail wedding dress, the couple planned for a luxurious angel themed wedding that allegedly cost SGD 2 million.

However, the couple did not neglect to perform several traditional customs, including serving tea to their parents, although Charlie's father was unable to attend the wedding due to his illness.

Some of Charlie's celebrity friends who attended the wedding include Anita Yuen, Gigi Leung, Angelica Lee and their husbands; Valen Hsu, as well as Aaron Kwok's assistant Siu Mei. Her close friends also made a special slideshow video as a gift for the actress, using several old clips and photos for nostalgia.

Touched by her friends' support, Charlie expressed, "A lot of friends from all over the world flew here to attend our wedding. I can't help but cry because there were so many touching moments!"

When asked about her plans for a baby, Charlie expressed, "We have no plans. We're going to leave it up all to fate."

Meanwhile, the couple announced that they will be holding another wedding banquet for family and friends in Taiwan and Hong Kong in the near future.
