Cecilia Liu explores complex character in upcoming costume drama "Kill My Sins"
20 Nov - Cecilia Liu recently revealed that her upcoming new drama, "Kill My Sins" has now entered the final stage of production.
As reported on Sohu, the actress, who spoke about the upcoming web series recently, stated that the project is different from her 2023 series, "A Journey of Love" or "Fox Spirit Matchmaker", which was released this year.
"Ye Ping'an is more down to earth but legendary. She has to reinvent herself after experiencing great changes in herself during her young age," Cecilia said of her character in the costume drama.
Cecilia continued, "Ping'an's experience was full of ups and downs, and her mentality goes the same way. After many years, she also saw her own growth when she looked back. As a small person, she faced the power of the upper class, and the difficulties she faced were systemic and structural."
The actress admitted that director Bai Shan gave her a lot of creative space to shape the character.
"I am looking forward to finally see it on the screen, this gripping and interesting story," she added.
Set during the time of the Tang Dynasty, "Kill My Sins" tells the story of Gu Qing, and orphan of a family of doctors who goes on a journey of revenge under the pseudonym Ye Ping'an.
