Christmas has come early for panettone fans with the exciting news that Carluccio’s has collaborated with Italian gin brand Malfy, to bring out a festive new flavour, Panettone al Gin all’Arancia Rossa.

The citrus panettone has been created by specialist producers in Veneto, Italy, using Italian oranges and Sicilian blood oranges for a delicious new take on the classic recipe. It’s filled with a sweet custard cream that’s been infused with Malfy’s Gin Con Arancia, which is making our mouths water just thinking about it.

It’s the perfect gift idea for any gin lovers in your life (or let’s face it, yourself), and is presented in a beautiful box featuring vibrant, geometric designs that you’ll proudly want to display in your kitchen at Christmas time. The limited-edition panettone won’t break the bank either, priced at £22.95 for 1kg.

Made with a sourdough, the panettone is baked, and hung upside down to cool, keeping the signature dome shape. The soft, buttery panettone is then piped with an indulgent custard cream filling enriched with the bittersweet citrus flavour of Malfy con Arancia, Blood Orange Gin. We wanted to capture the true flavour of the Malfy gin in the cream, with no artificial gin flavours. I’m delighted that is what we have achieved”.

That’s not all from Carluccio’s Christmas range. If you like your panettone with a side of coffee, they’ve also just launched another new flavour for 2022 and it’s their Panettone al Cappuccino (£22.95 for 1kg). It’s a coffee-infused panettone and is packed full of coffee chocolate chips and iced with white chocolate and a cocoa nib cappuccino topping. Get us a plate now.
