Carina Lau: My husband is not a boring man

24 Aug - Although she seemed to be the outspoken extrovert in the relationship, Carina Lau recently shared that her husband is not as bland as people might think he would be.

According to Epoch Times, the actress, who sat down for an interview with a magazine to talk about her personal life recently, admitted that she enjoys getting together with her group of friends in her spare time, while Tony would prefer staying at home and reading a book in quiet.

However, Carina stressed that their personality difference makes the relationship works.

"In reality, Tony is a funny guy in private. But he is shy and reserved [in public]. I have a quiet side and he has his social side, but we're the only two people who know it," said the actress.

She then added, "If he is a boring person, he would have never been a great actor."

On the other hand, on the subject of children, Carina admitted that the two of them have agreed not to have kids, and partly because of what Tony once said in the past.

In an interview years ago, the actor shared that he has long decided not to have children based on a childhood experience. Tony said that his beloved dog died when he was little, and that it was such a devastating tragedy to him that he could not fathom the idea of losing something that he loves.

"I would get worried even if something minor happened to Carina. I was so sad when my dog died. What would happen to me if I have a child?" he said.
