Cardi B cancels Singapore F1 show, to be replaced by Gwen Stefani
If you were hoping to catch Cardi B’s rhymes at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix entertainment line-up, we have bad news for you: the American rapper has cancelled her gig due to scheduling issues.
Race promoter Singapore GP said in a statement on Monday (10 June), “We regret to announce that Cardi B has had to cancel her scheduled performance at this year’s Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2019 due a major rescheduling of her September and October tour. While undoubtedly disappointing, we hope to work with Cardi B again in the near future.”
In a separate press release, Singapore GP said pop singer Gwen Stefani would be added to the F1 line-up, which includes other headlining acts such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Swedish House Mafia, Raja Kumari, and Hans Zimmer.
Gwen Stefani will be performing on 21 September, which was the date of Cardi B’s original gig. So it seems that Stefani may have been brought in to replace Cardi B because of her cancellation.
Tickets to the F1 concerts and the Singapore Grand Prix start from $188 for a single-day Saturday ticket and $278 for a three-day ticket.
