Spicy food has been having a moment in the culinary world. It seems like everywhere that we turn, there’s a new remix of our favorite comfort foods, kicking up the spice factor. But what we’re talking about today isn’t your local restaurant’s sriracha fusion recipes. As reported by Thrillist, it looks like Butterfingers may soon get a spicy spinoff.
Starting next year, Butterfingers might be releasing their latest incarnation of the beloved candy bar: Smokin’ Hot Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups.
It hasn’t been officially confirmed by the company yet, but the Instagram Candy Hunting (an account that has successfully predicted this kind of news before) released the info already, so there’s still a possibility that these spicy Butterfingers may very well be on the way.

The candy leak aside, here are the details about the Hot Peanut Butter Cups:
Their kick will come from a hint of cayenne pepper that is melted into the peanut butter.
