What exactly is a butter board? The term might have been a foreign one till recently, when a viral TikTok video, well, made it viral. A butter board looks like a charcuterie board, but instead of cured meat of choice and cheeses, all of that is replaced with butter. But not just butter, it's seasoned fat with fancy condiments such as herbs, honey, fruits, nuts, truffle oil, edible flowers if you so wish, and more. The board can look like the most aesthetic item on the dining table, and guests tuck into the butter board communal style with the bread of choice.
How do I create a butter board at home for my next dinner party?
Well first, you'll need the best butter you can find in the market, since it is the bread and butter (heh) of the entire idea! And French butter is the way to go, IMHO.
