HBO's comedy-drama series Succession Season 4 has just premiered and this particular scene featuring a luxury bag landed in the top trends of TikTok. Now, if you've not watched the series before, here's a brief synopsis: Succession centers on the Roy family who are owners of Waystar RoyCo, a global media and entertainment conglomerate. The family is fighting tooth and nail over control of the company amid uncertainty about the health of the family's patriarch, Logan Roy (played by Brian Cox).
As you can see, there are plenty of scandals and drama surrounding the series. But the one scene where leading character Tom Wambsgans (played by Matthew Macfadye) not-so-subtly roasted a Burberry Tote bag carried by new face Bridget (played by Francesca Root-Dodson) is now trending on TikTok. Not only did he called it "gargantuan", but he also said it was "ludicrously capacious" and "monstrous" and wondered if Bridget stuffs her flat shoes inside it!

After analysing Google Trends data, they discovered that it triggered the exact opposite effect:

Even searches for 'Burberry sale' are up 38%
A quick check showed that the mini version of the tote bag is currently out of stock on Farfetch, but the same bag-sized bag featured in the series is available online. Of course, with its roomy space and structured frame, we get why this bag will be a hit!
