Bonnie Ngai supports Frankie Lam as ATV's new VP
30 Dec – Although the two never worked together, Hong Kong actress Bonnie Ngai is in full support of Frankie Lam's appointment as the new Vice President of the Asian Television Ltd. (ATV).
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke about the appointment at a wine-related event recently, stated that she believes Frankie would be able to do a good job for the station as he is a senior artiste who has gained a lot of experience when it comes to television operations.
"It's a good thing. I have seen actors becoming producers, and they understand the need of actors and the entire production more than the usual producers, so I think this is a good thing," she said.
News of Frankie's appointment was announced last week at the press conference of the Miss Asia pageant, much to the surprise of many people.
The actor stated that he decided to accept the job offered by Chairman Jessie Lai after seeing how good the latter is towards her employees. He also expressed hope that he will be able to do his job well as soon as he assumes the position officially in January 2020.
