Beto Kusyairy happy for Amir Jahari's victory at Anugerah Juara Lagu 38

5 Mar - Beto Kusyairy was truly elated to see Amir Jahari winning the grand prize at the Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL38) that was recently held.

In a post shared on social media on 4 March, the actor, who played the lead role in "Imaginur" of which Amir's song "Hasrat" originated from, stated that Amir had previously approached him to make a special appearance on stage for his performance in the competition and that he gladly accepted as a support for the previously struggling singer.

"I didn't know the details of what he had to go through before and throughout his journey as an artiste. But what I know is that not everybody would be able to go through what he went through. What's special about him is that he persevered despite the struggle," Beto wrote.

The actor said that he believes that everything has its reason and timing, and that God is fair.

"Congratulations and well done, Mir. You and your family are very good people. Thank you for never feeling discouraged. I believe you will remain who you are now, always humble despite your popularity. For the time being, enjoy and embrace it," he added.

"Hasrat" won the coveted "Song Champion" in the annual competition held on 3 March. The second place went to Aisha Retno's "Sutera". Amir started his music journey after he was booted off the ninth season of the reality show "Akademi Fantasia".
