SINGAPORE — Here's where to find some of the best durian cakes, puffs, and ice cream in Singapore this season.
Goodwood Park Hotel
From now to 14 July, Goodwood Park Hotel celebrates its durian fiesta with six new D24 durian desserts alongside four favourites as well as signature ‘Mao Shan Wang’ durian pastries. This year's collection includes the sublime D24 Pandan Lapis Coconut Cake ($16 per slice), composed of pandan sponge layered with durian mousse and finished with coconut flakes; D24 Royale Cheesecake ($28) made with durian mousse and cream cheese; and D24 Matcha Mont Blanc Tart ($42 for six). The mini dome-shaped tarts are made with matcha and chestnut mousse as well as D24 durian pulp. For something playful, go for the Mini D24 Ice Cream Bars – creamy D24 durian ice cream is coated in dark chocolate, almond, cappuccino, or Oreo flavours ($22 for a box of four).

Sukawa
For this year’s durian season (estimated to take place from now to 31 August), you can experience SukaWa, a first-of-its-kind ‘omakase’ style durian experience curated by 99 Old Trees, an established durian retailer. SukaWa is limited to up to two sessions per week, each from 45 minutes to an hour, for a maximum of eight persons (priced at $60 per person).
Durian experts will present at least six durian cultivars ranging from Mao Shan Wang to the rare Black Thorn (depending on availability) and share with you interesting facts about each varietal. Feast on unlimited portions of high quality durians – from the lightest taste profile to the most intense. This is accompanied by a ‘cooling’ concoction of mint, cucumber and lemon water, followed by homemade durian choux puff piped with a mixture of D24 durian puree and fresh cream. You will also get hot tea and coconut water to cleanse the palate. During the fun and casual session, attendees may also request for unlimited additional portions of either Mao Shan Wang or D24 durian.

Four Seasons Durian Restaurant
This unique specialty durian restaurant at Jewel Changi offers a whole range of durian desserts including a sublime Mao Shan Wang ice cream. What you’ll get is pure durian pulp churned into the creamiest soft serve (the portions are quite massive so it’s best to share). If that's not enough, the extensive menu also includes colourful durian mochi and durian puffs.
