Beloved veteran singer Rohana Jalil has passed away

21 Jun - After months in treatment following intestinal perforation, veteran singer Rohana Jalil was revealed to pass away on 20 June.

The news was confirmed by her manager Jepun, saying that Rohana lost consciousness in the afternoon, and that her family members were contacted to gather at the hospital several hours later.

"She went in peace. It was made ease for her," said Jepun.

The manager also added that Rohana, real name Dara Abdul Jalil, will be buried at the Muslim Cemetery in USJ21, Subang Jaya before Zuhur.

It is noted that Rohana had been in a weak state for the past few days, with infection spreading to several main organs, including her lungs and kidneys.

Born in Kota Tinggi, Rohana began her career in music after winning "Bintang RTM" in 1980. She was most known for songs like "Rayuan Ku", "Resah Ku", "Faez", and "Kerana Dia Kita Terpisah". She was also mother to singer Kilafairy.
