Baron Geisler says urinating incident is a misunderstanding

The actor shares that the director failed to listen to his suggestion before it happened

30 Nov - Baron Geisler has defended himself over the criticisms and backlash against his "creative" decision to urinate on a fellow actor in his new movie.

As reported on Rappler, actor Ping Medina recently shared online that Geisler went against the script and peed on him while filming their new movie, "Bubog", in Subic.

His action had not only disgusted Medina but was also slammed by director Arlyn dela Cruz and FDCP Chairperson, Liza Dino.

On 28 November, Geisler wrote in response to dela Cruz, saying that he has already apologised and that both he and dela Cruz know that it was just a misunderstanding.

"I asked you three times if I could do something and you just said that I should just do it in the scene. If you asked me what it is, we could have avoided the matter," he said.

Geisler also said that dela Cruz could check the BTS for proof that he was being rude to anyone.

"But you were trying to pull off a Brillante Mendoza, whispering to an artiste to slap someone so he'll be caught by surprise and get a good reaction. I was slapped many times, so I thought, ah, so it's okay to surprise my co-stars on set."

Geisler also expressed his disappointment that dela Cruz is trying to ruin his livelihood by calling for other filmmakers not to cast him.

As for Medina's statement and Dino's subsequent response, Geisler said, "I am unaffected by people trying to ruin my name. So low. Especially to those who believe things right away; inspect, know the truth. Don't just judge. This industry is plastic. Lawyer up, guys!"
