We are so happy to see Barack and Michelle Obama enjoying themselves on their well-earned vacation. But now that we’re seeing just how much fun Barack Obama and his new BFF Richard Branson are having together, we’re starting to get some serious FOMO.

Virgin Group CEO and adventurer Richard Branson knows how to have a good time. The billionaire has been hosting Barack and Michelle Obama on his private island, Necker Island, in the British Virgin Islands.

And, from the looks of the awesome pictures and videos they’ve been posting, the group is having the time of their lives.

They’re even indulging in some healthy competition.

As if the pics weren’t enough to make us want to go there ASAP, Branson followed up his tweet with a video. The behind-the-scenes footage shows just how the kitesurfing challenge went down. Both parties seems to both struggle and prevail at points.

But Obama was the clear winner, besting Branson by 50 meters.

However, since we all get to revel in the playful fun of the shared footage, it’s safe to say we all win.

Of course, Obama is no stranger to watersports, having grown up in Hawaii. In a blog post Branson shared about the adventure, he said Obama was actually pretty adept at oceanic activities before becoming president. Then, for obvious safety reasons, he wasn’t able to partake while in office.

But Obama picked right back up where he left off, happily gliding over the water while impressively holding onto a kite. And the wide, triumphant smile Obama has on his face afterwards shows he’s enjoying the heck out of being back in the ocean.
