Ava Liu cherishes experience as first time mother
20 Nov – Three months into motherhood, Ava Liu admitted that she is still learning how to be a good mother to her baby daughter Harper.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who welcomed her first child with husband and singer Adason Lo in August this year, couldn't help but laugh when asked about her experience being a new mother, saying that she cried more than her own daughter did for the past 100 days.
"I didn't know why she would cry at first. But now I am used to it. I would know if she was having a belly ache and that I should be rubbing her tummy when that happens. Making her feel good makes me feel so happy," she said.
Ava stated that she enjoyed holding her child so much that she would hurt her body, especially her arms and the neck area.
"I would hold her and watch the sky for countless nights. This kind of feeling is really indescribable. But I know a lot of mothers are like me. You just want to continue holding them now because they won't need to be held so much when they're grown," she said.
As for the Full Moon celebration for baby Harper, Ava said that her husband originally wanted to hold a Dragon Ball-themed party.
"But because of the pandemic, we weren't able to do so. We decided to just have a simple celebration," she said.
