The Ataydes elated to welcome Maine Mendoza into the family
1 Aug – The Atayde family is excited to welcome Maine Mendoza into the fold, as the actress is now engaged to actor Arjo Atayde.
On 30 July, following Arjo and Maine's announcement, Arjo's mum and actress Sylvia Sanchez took to social media and expressed, "He asked Her and She said, YES!!! Finally!! Welcome to the family, Maine. Thank you for loving my son. Love you Nak."
"I promise that I will take care and love you as my own Daughter," she added.
Actress and sister Ria Atayde also took to social media to share several photos from the proposal, writing, "You've always been Mister Grand Gestures @arjoatayde. But I think among all you've done, this has got to be my most favorite. And I think among all the many changes we welcomed in our lives this year, this has got to be the best. So excited to officially welcome you into the family @mainedcm Stay happy and in love! Congratulations to the two of you."
Maine and Arjo shared news of their engagement back on 29 July, with the actor writing, "My turn. I will marry you, cutie."
He revealed that the proposal was made on 28 July.
On the other hand, Maine, always the funny one, posted a short caption on social media that read, "Wait, whaaaat?? We're engaged?!"
The couple have been dating for over three years, having announced their relationship in January 2019.
