Archie Kao confirms divorce with Zhou Xun
24 Dec – After years of speculation about the status of their marriage, Archie Kao finally confirmed that he and actress wife Zhou Xun are already divorced.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor revealed this particular information recently after a photo of him kissing another woman circulated online, with the woman writing, "My love, the best of luck on this journey you're making. Make the most out of each day. I'll be waiting for you with great enthusiasm."
Following the post, Zhou took to social media and wrote, "Wish you well". Archie also posted similarly on his own social media account.
Archie later admitted to the media through a friend that he and Zhou have already called it quits on their marriage and that the two have always been financially independent from one another.
The friend also added that the actor assumed everybody already knew about the divorce as he and Zhou have not been photographed together for such a long time, and that he was surprised that his new romance attracted a lot of attention.
Archie, who is now working behind the camera, stated that his new girlfriend is a Singaporean and that she was an old love.
Zhou Xun surprised many back in 2014 when she and Archie appeared in wedding attires at a charity event to announce that they have tied the knot - two months after they announced their relationship. However, rumours of marital woes began to circulate in 2017, with the "CSI" actor no longer seen with Zhou starting the next year.
