Ara Johari says "Delulu" is not about the Aliff Aziz scandal

9 May - Ara Johari has dismissed the notion that her new song, "Delulu" is about the controversy surrounding Aliff Aziz, Bella Astillah, Sarah Yasmine and Ruhainies.

The singer, who made a departure from her signature ballads for a more upbeat song composed by Justin Seow and Ja'a, said that the message in the song is very light and is nothing more than for entertainment.

"Delulu is not meant to shade anybody, but an entertaining song for those who are tired of the big issues. I am sure that anybody who listens to it will be dancing to it as well," she said.

"Delulu", taken from the internet slang that means "delusional", is Ara's first single since she decided to manage her own career.

"It's different from my previous singles. You can say that this song shows a different side of Ara Johari that is synonymous with heartbreak ballads. This is also a new phase in my singing career, whereby I am my own management," she said.
