"Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" raked in HKD 63 million

20 May - Louis Koo continues to dominate at the box office as his latest film, "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" has raked in HKD 63 million at the box office.

As reported on Mingpao, the action movie, helmed by Soi Cheang, is now ranked the fifth highest-grossing Hong Kong movie, besting previous position holder "Anita", which made HKD 62 million during its release in 2021.

It is also the second Louis Koo-starrer that made it to the top five following "Warriors of the Future", which is still the second highest-grossing Hong Kong movie with HKD 81 million.

Meanwhile, the top spot is currently held by the Dayo Wong-starrer, "A Guilty Conscience" (at HKD 115 million), followed by another Dayo movie, "Table for Six" in third place.

It is noted that the movie, which is an adaptation of Andy Seto's manhua, "City of Darkness" was also selected to be in the Official Selection (Midnight Screening) of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
