Anthony Wong has no qualms moving to Taiwan
14 May – He may not be welcomed in mainland China, but at least Anthony Wong knows that if anything happens, he has the love of the Taiwanese people.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actor recently posted a photo of himself at the Hong Kong airport, saying that he was on his way to film a new project in Taiwan.
The post received a lot of welcoming comments from Taiwanese netizens, who expressed excitement over the actor's visit.
He later posted online again, saying, "I'm in Taiwan right now. Under 14 days of quarantine. I am enjoying myself."
To that, another Taiwanese netizen commented, "Just move to Taiwan!", which he then replied, "In the process."
Anthony's response was met with much elation from the fans, with many are now speculating whether he was joking or if the actor was indeed being serious about moving to the country. One also commented, "Bring Chapman To with you."
It is noted that the actor has always been supportive of the Taiwanese and the Taiwan independent movement, being an opinionated star who has his gripes with the Chinese government. In one of his most recent online posts, Anthony expressed his frustration with WHO for changing the name of the pandemic from Wuhan coronavirus to COVID-19, saying that China should not be absolved from their wrongdoing.
