Another Taiwanese young talent to debut under JYP
7 Apr - After the success of Zhou Zi-yu, known as Tzuyu by K-pop fans, another Taiwanese talent is set to make her debut as a K-pop star as well.
As reported on Epoch Times, JYP Entertainment, the same company that produces Tzuyu's group TWICE, recently released photos of its 18 new trainees, including one of Wang Jia-yu from Taiwan.
Reportedly, Wang Jia-yu (or Jia Yu as she was introduced), is a 14-year-old trainee who went to South Korea to fulfill her dream to become an idol singer.
She was selected not only for her talent in singing and dancing, but also for her tall and slender figure and her ability to speak in English.
With the popularity of Tzuyu, who is dubbed the rival of Korea's Queen of Ads AOA's Seolhyun in terms of popularity among fans and endorsement companies, many believed that Jia-yu will have a long way to go to get to Tzuyu's status.
