Hydro Flask, the insulated steel bottle brand, was founded in 2009 by Travis Rosbach and Cindy Morse, then a couple who couldn't find a reusable bottle they liked in the market. When Hydro Flask's popularity surged, the innovators sold their brand to an investor in Bend, Oregon, and later on, it changed hands with consumer products conglomerate Helen of Troy in 2016. The company is said to reach sales of US$318 million three years after the acquisition, and the rest, they say is history...

Hydro Flask has collaborated with brands like Oatside and Refill For Good and the bottles come in different sizes and colours. Some even come with customisable straws and special caps.

The sizes vary from 24 oz (roughly 709 mil) to, 34 oz (roughly 1005ml) and 40 oz (1180 ml) for your everyday needs: from coffee runs to long hikes and ensuring your water intake is met!

Why are Hydro Flasks so popular?

The original founders were looking for bottles that could keep their beverage warm for hours, but the market wasn't fulfilling their needs at that time. On top of that, they wanted a bottle that is eco-friendly and not pollute the earth. Hydro Flask's body is made of metal, not plastic, making it user-friendly and safe for multiple uses. The bottle is also BPA-free, a chemical substance known to have health effects on our normal hormone function. Because of its slim body, even children above 12 can easily use these bottles.
