Aliff Syukri slammed for working with Ira Kazar
22 Aug – Controversial businessman Aliff Syukri finds himself getting slammed online for his decision to work with Ira Kazar, another controversial figure and now wife of director Syamsul Yusof. Ira tied the knot with Syamsul while he was still married to Puteri Sarah Liyana.
The issue sparked recently, when Aliff shared on Instagram Story a video of him alongside Ira, and saying lightheartedly that it's a behind the scene video of their upcoming hijab collection.
He later posted a video of Ira alongside another model where the two promoted his company's new Lip Butter Delima product.
A majority of netizens in the comments did not take this well at all, with some questioning Aliff's decision.
"Why get Ira as a model? Do you have to support a woman who destroys other people's marriage?" asked one netizen.
Another blasted Aliff for opting for cheap publicity, saying that this decision meant that the businessman's previous gesture of helping Shuhada, the former wife of actor Hafidz Roshdi whom accused the latter of cheating on her, was not for charity, but for his own advantage.
"This is nothing more than business exploitation. As long as the person is famous with marital issues," the person said.
Many, on the other hand, stated that they will unfollow Aliff and boycott his product for the decision.
