Alif Satar lends his voice to "Ben 10" animation series

Malaysian singer and host Alif Satar will be lending his voice to the Malay-dubbed of the popular animated series, "Ben 10".

Partnering with Cartoon Network, Alif is set to guest star in a special "Ben 10" episode which is set to air on the Cartoon Network channel (Astro Ch. 616) this Saturday, 17 June at 9am.

The 26-year-old singer will be playing the role of the obnoxious villain Tim Buktu, originally voiced by Travis Willingham.

"We are so pleased to have partnered with Alif for this special opportunity in Malaysia. He has such an outgoing and fun personality that we knew he would be a great fit to play Tim Buktu," said Mark Eyers, Chief Content Officer of Turner's Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific, in a statement.

Alif added, "Ben 10 is one of those cartoons that every young boy grows up watching. I am a fan myself and remember watching my favourite episodes on Cartoon Network when I was a kid! It is such an honour to now be able to feature in this iconic series. I had a great time letting loose as the character of Tim Buktu and cannot wait to share the experience with my fans."

"Ben 10" follows a 10-year-old boy named Ben Tennyson who gets a watch-like alien device called the "Omnitrix" which allows him to transform into various alien creatures. He then uses these powers to fight evil from Earth and space.

Shila Amzah also previously worked with Cartoon Network to sing the Malay and Mandarin version of "Powerpuff Girls" theme song.
