Ali Lee faces toughest challenge yet in "AI Lover"
27 Aug – Ali Lee said that her upcoming role in the new series, "AI Lover" will be her toughest challenge yet, seeing that she is playing an android robot in the said drama.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who appeared at the press conference of the said series recently, stated that she has to convince the audience that she is a robot while being very human-like at the same time.
"There's going to be a lot of little things that I have to figure out. To me, this is a huge challenge. I have read the script twice and I am still exploring," she said, adding that she was fortunate to be given more time to explore after the series had to postpone filming from August to September due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong.
However, Ali admitted that she doesn't want to put too high of an expectation for the series, since it would be her first time playing such a character and working with a different team than the usual.
It is noted that this is Ali's first drama in 2020, following a long rumoured forced hiatus that occurred following the completion of her other drama, "Amelia's Rhapsody" late last year.
"I have to readjust my mindset after so long. I've just released a book, and my mind had been preoccupied by it for the past several months," she added.
